Valerie Dunham Maxey, LCSW, founder and Clinical Director of Well3Plus Collaborative Care, LLC is a native of Atlanta, born and raised in Riverdale, GA. She is a proud United States Army Veteran, a Wife, Mother, friend and insert all the family connections one could have. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle, reading, sewing, traveling, roller skating and volunteering. She is a Harry Potter fanatic and likes to laugh, dance and have fun.
She has been licensed since 2017 and holds Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credentials in both Georgia and North Carolina. Her experience in community settings and the Veterans Administration (VA) have prepared her with the knowledge, skill and experience to work with great people experiencing difficult circumstances.
Her approach to helping clients reach their therapeutic goals is centered in evidence-based practices, expounding on clients’ strengths to increase functionality, independence and quality of life. She addresses clients’ needs from a holistic perspective which allows for sessions to take place in traditional and non-traditional settings. She believes in self-determination and will not tell you what to do. She will act as your guide and leave the right to choose and decision making to you.
